On the Western Frontier, clans cook their meals in large cob ovens at cooking stations. Every settlement of the Aranahe, Zeswa, and Kame’tire has one of these stations, which are equipped with cooking utensils, bowls, and leaf plates, as well as pots of herbs for seasoning food. The food is typically placed onto a plate wth a seed pod-covering that has holes for steaming, before being placed into the oven to bake.
